Founding partners Bill Dalton and Barry Finegold grew up together in Andover, Massachusetts. After working in Boston for several years, they established Dalton & Finegold, LLP in 2000.
Over its first decade, the firm focused solely on residential real estate, representing lenders, buyers and sellers in hundreds of transactions across Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Meanwhile, the firm’s affiliate Gold Title, P.C. had grown to handle transactions in all 50 states. Dalton & Finegold’s clients represent a wide range of individuals, families and industries, including, technology, life science, restaurants, retail, hotels and professional services firms.
In 2010, to better serve all the needs of its growing client base, Dalton & Finegold added partners specializing in the areas of commercial real estate, estate planning, and litigation and dispute resolution. In 2011, the firm strengthened its commercial real estate and corporate law practices by adding four partners from Boston law firms whose skill sets include complex land dispositions, commercial lending and hospitality and recreation.
Like our founding partners, all our lawyers have roots in Massachusetts, and most have practiced at larger firms or organizations. They came to Dalton & Finegold in search of a better platform for legal practice.
