Attorney Harold ‘Hal’ Owen Beede is an associate at the firm specializing in Civil Litigation. Attorney Beede focuses his practice on commercial contract and lease disputes and real property / land issues such as appeals of denials of permits and variances, zoning violations; as well as resolving title defects (“quiet title actions”), adverse possession, prescriptive easements, and right-of-way and property line / boundary disputes. Hal also advises large and small businesses and employers as to employment law issues. He has represented individuals, small businesses and large corporate clients at all levels of state and federal trial and appellate courts, including obtaining favorable published decisions in the Massachusetts Appeals Court, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the New Hampshire Supreme Court. Beede earned his undergraduate degree from Salem State University, cum laude, and his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School where was Executive Editor of the Suffolk Transnational Law Review, Member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Society, and was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in Commercial Law. Hal also interned at the US Attorney’s Office in Providence Rhode Island, and for Hon. Ernest C. Torres, US District Court Judge for the District of Rhode Island. Hal grew up in Reading, Massachusetts, and has lived in southeastern New Hampshire since 1992.
