Attorney P. Michael Margolis is a Partner at the firm concentrating in Commercial Real Estate and Finance. His clients include Bob’s Discount Furniture and Mike has served as lead real estate counsel since 1996 developing its entire real estate portfolio. Mike holds a law degree from The George Washington University School of Law and an undergraduate degree in accounting from Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management. He is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Connecticut, The United States District Court of Connecticut and The United States Tax Court. Mike is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Connecticut.

• Lead real estate outside counsel for Bob’s Discount Furniture since 1996 representing the company through two private equity sales, leading the leasing and development of its  national retail chain portfolio and its regional distribution centers. In addition, Mike spearheaded obtaining and closing a $20.7 Million Financial Assistance Package from the State of Connecticut enabling Bob’s to develop its national headquarters in Manchester, Connecticut and amended all leases within the Bob’s portfolio to address the implications of COVID.
• Lead real estate counsel for a New England based commercial real estate developer and shopping center operator.
• Long-time counsel for entrepreneurial group purchasing and operating Anytime Fitness and Stretch Lab Facilities in New England and New York.
• Significant contributor with a group of business people who created Business Lenders LLC from a concept through initial financing and licensing eventually becoming a nationally licensed SBA non-bank lender. Upon establishment, served as lead outside council to create, implement and close a national network for loan closings and loan administration.
• Other significant transactions include the sale of a local railroad, the formation of syndication of numerous popular Connecticut restaurants such as Jim Calhoun’s Coach’s Sports Bar & Grill, representation of the Powder Ridge Ski Mountain and Brownstone Adventure Park
